Satisfactory Academic Progress Guidelines

A review of your academic record indicates that you are not meeting state Satisfactory Academic Progress and will not be eligible for state aid beginning in the Fall 2017 semester. The guidelines for state Satisfactory Academic Progress are enclosed with this letter.

Dear Student,

Our records indicate that you do not meet the state Satisfactory Academic Progress Guidelines.

You do have the right to petition this decision by following the instructions in the enclosed Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Guidelines and Deadline Schedule. Please read all the instructions carefully and note that incomplete petitions will not be accepted.

To be considered for federal and/or state aid in the Fall 2017 semester, you must submit a completed (SAP) Petition Packet and have it date stamped by the Office of Academic Student Services (AC-4G04) by 3:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2017.

Petition forms can be downloaded online on the Financial Aid website at Satisfactory Academic Progress Petition Form. Petitions will be evaluated for extenuating circumstances such as personal illness, injury, tragedy, or military duty, and the reasonableness of the student's ability for improvement to meet the appropriate standard for the degree.

Sincerely,

Financial Aid Office
