- 5th Annual Undergraduate Research Day - Abstracts Submission Deadline
The Office of Undergraduate Research at York College is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for our 5th Annual Research Day. The conference will take place from 9 to 5pm in the Academic Core building at York College on April 24th, 2014.
- 10th Annual USRC
Student researchers are provided a platform to share their research findings, enhance their presentations skills, and/or receive guidance from seasoned researchers, mature scholars, and their peers. In addition to monetary awards for competitive presentations, Minority Access will distribute summaries of exemplary research presentations to research departments of pharmaceutical and/or high tech firms.

- 2016 International Academic Partnership Program: Brazil
The Institute of International Education (IIE)’s partnership program with Brazil provides comprehensive training for U.S. higher education institutions to develop a campus-wide strategy for partnering with Brazilian institutions and a week-long study tour to Brazil organized in partnership with the Fulbright Commission in Brazil.
- Application Deadline: Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at Baruch College
This program provides concentrated research experience in which each student plans and executes an independent project, and works with a faculty mentor and their research team on existing research projects. Students will develop knowledge and skills in all phases of psychological research, including hypothesis development, research design, data analysis, and scientific writing. Faculty will guide REU students through the process of formulating a research hypothesis, designing and implementing the project, and analyzing and summarizing the findings. Students will present their research at the Baruch REU conference and potentially at regional or national conferences in psychology. REU students will complete a year-long graduate school preparation course taught at Baruch College. Students will learn about the graduate school admission process, how to build one's credentials through research and practicum experiences, the GRE, soliciting letters of recommendation, and applying for fellowships. This course will assist students in planning advanced education in the areas that best match their interests.
- Bronx STEM Scholars Program
The purpose of this program is to form a linkage among the three CUNY Colleges in the Bronx (Lehman College, Hostos Community College, and Bronx Community College) that allows STEM scholars from Hostos and BCC the opportunity to complete a summer laboratory research training program at Lehman College.

CUR is hosting its 16th National Conference, "Creating the Citizens of Tomorrow: Undergraduate Research for All," in Washington, DC - a fitting location for its theme of democratizing undergraduate research! In situating the conference in our nation's capital, CUR will highlight cross-disciplinary connections and collaborations among higher education, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
