The Early Support System allows your professors to make referrals to connect you to a variety of resources and support services on campus.

Referral notifications are emailed to your York College email address from the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC). If you are a part of the SEEK program, your notifications will come from The Percy E. Sutton SEEK Program.

The first year of college can be challenging. That is why York College is committed to helping you face those challenges and achieve your academic goals.

The Early Support System allows your professors to make referrals to connect you to a variety of resources and support services on campus.  Referral notifications are emailed to your York College email address from the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC). How does an Early Support referral help me?

An Early Support referral connects you to services that can help you learn skills to improve your grades, cope with stress, engage in campus life and have a fulfilling college experience.

What should I do if I receive an Early Support referral?

Do not ignore it! 😄

When you receive an Early Support referral, talk with your referring professor, respond to the email in the specified time, and take advantage of this unique opportunity designed to help you succeed.

How do I respond to an Early Support referral?

The email sent to you will contain instructions.  Read them carefully and follow through with any action items. If you have questions, call 718-262-2494 or 718-262-2303.

How will my professor know that I responded to the referral?

Your professor will be able to check the status of the referral.

Besides my professor, who else sees my referral information?

In addition to your referring professor, designated staff in the early support services areas are the only individuals with access to your referral information.

Am I required to access services referred by my professor?

Professors make referrals to help you to succeed. All students are encouraged to take advantage of available resources.

Will a referral become part of my academic record?

No. Early Support Referrals will not appear on your academic record.
