One of the features we constantly promote here at Career Services is our 'Formula for Success' and so I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities we have to offer during the upcoming Winter Break.

The Career Resource Center will be open to serve you through the month of January and I certainly hope you will come in during your time off and explore what will make you successful, how to stay current, the available resources, various affiliations & partnerships, leadership programs, career development programs, your career action plan, conferences events… just to name a few of the offerings we have.

And in the event that you are in the process of validating your career decision we now have a wonderful program called Focus 2, an online career, major & education planning system that really can be used throughout your college years and as an alumnus. Focus 2 can help you select a major based on your interests and aspirations, discover occupations matching your personal preferences and attributes, map out your career plans, present and future and make informed career decisions.

Of course you can always stop by if you simply need us to review your resume, cover letter, set up a mock interview utilizing the state of the art Optimal Resume program, or go over an internship or job you found on Cardinal Careers or any other source.

I look forward to seeing you and remember Career Services is for freshmen, sophomores, juniors and even seniors but please do not wait until your senior year to visit!

Sincerely,

Linda Chesney, Director, Career Services Division of Student Development
