WI Course Proposal

Writing Intensive (WI) courses are special offerings that require advanced planning and development. Faculty members propose a WI by submitting a WI Course Proposal Form to the WAC Program.

Writing Intensive Course Proposal Form

Writing Intensive courses are special offerings that require advanced planning and development. The WI Advisory Committee understands that a final version of the syllabus for each proposed course may not be available at this time.

The WI Advisory Committee reviews the WI Course Proposal Form, the Draft Syllabus, and a one-page statement that describes the role of writing in the proposed course. Together, these documents enable instructors to communicate their plans for a WI-designated course without the need for a fully developed lesson plan, complete with assignments and due dates.
