CUNY Legal Affairs outlines CUNY’s Academic Integrity policy which prohibits all forms of academic dishonesty with penalties including suspension or expulsion from CUNY. Students are required to read and acknowledge the CUNY Academic Integrity policy prior to testing.

Students will receive test scores via email within 24 hours after finishing the test.

Students that pass the test should check with the Financial Aid Office to confirm financial aid award disbursement or email FinAid@york.cuny.edu  Students that do not pass the test will be notified via email by the Testing Office of their retest eligibility.

What does my score mean?

Follow these steps to request/share a copy of your score report using the Accuplacer student portal. To find your test results select: City University of New York-Central for the student institution. If the school you wish to send a copy of your scores is not listed in the share individual score report ‘institution(s)’ dropdown menu, then contact us for assistance at TestCT@york.cuny.edu.

Students must show valid photo identification in order to test.

1. Must be an unexpired, physical photo ID. Screenshots are not accepted.
2. Must be government- or school-issued.
3. Must be an original document – no photos or photocopies.
4. Must have a clear, recognizable photo.
5. Name must match your student record.
6. Must be in readable text using the English alphabet characters.
7. Acceptable IDs: High School/College ID, Driver’s License or State ID, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, Military ID.
8. Students with YORK virtual IDs must present their ID by logging into the Cardinal app. Screenshots are not accepted.

1. Food and liquids are not allowed in the testing lab.
2. Class notes, individual scrap paper, books, dictionaries, thesauruses, and translators are not allowed.
3. All wearable technology and electronic devices are prohibited.

This includes but not limited too: phones, smart watches, earphones, smart glasses and any other wearable technology.Phones and small electronic devices must be turned off and secured in our lockers; larger devices must be turned off and stored.

If you are seen with or access any electronic device at any time during your testing appointment (including restroom breaks), you may be dismissed, and your exam may be invalidated.
