The York College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams swept the 2010 CUNYAC Championships held at Icahn Stadium Sunday afternoon. The women’s team dominated the competition en route to their fourth consecutive title and fifth overall, while the men took home their seventh outdoor title and the first since 2006.

Ronald St. John, head coach of the York College men’s basketball team, won his 300th career game Friday night as the Cardinals defeated Wells College 95-92. The Cardinals, who were playing in the opening round of the Skidmore College Hilton Garden Invitational, rallied from a 17 point halftime deficit and outscored Wells 61-41 in the second half to get St. John to the historic milestone.

For the second consecutive year, York College junior Elysee Vilsaint has been named the CUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. Also earning recognition from York was Jaime Hay and Francisco Florez, who were named to the First Team, and Hugo Cicanois and Ousmane Toure, who earned second-team honors.
