Student Clubs and Organizations

Student groups play an active role in supporting the social and academic life on campus.

Student groups are responsible for planning and scheduling events which incorporate cultural, intellectual, or spiritual elements. They are also responsible for creating events that engage students in extracurricular activities on campus. These types of activities support the College's academic programming, while also encouraging students to become involved with their peers in socially entertaining and sometimes interactive endeavors.

Student groups organize a wide variety of events, including discussions about current issues, networking mixers, graduate seminars and cultural/ethnic celebrations. There are many groups involved with these types of activities, such as the Accounting Society, Music Club, Muslim Student Association, Haitian Students Association and the Helping Hands Club. Other groups such as the SEEK Students Society sponsor talent and/or fashion shows, which also add to the culture of the college.

York College has over forty student clubs and organizations.
