About the Health Services Center

The Health Services Center exists for the purpose of assisting students in matters of education pertaining to holistic health, and prevention and early recognition of illnesses and diseases. We also document and treat accidents which occur on campus. In addition, we monitor immunization and the physical status of current students.

The office presents special events and activities in order to help foster the wellbeing of our students. Work-study students are accepted by this office and given assignments. These assignments are meaningful and help them to become efficient in office skills. Awareness of health practices and issues is also emphasized. It is a great position for Health Education and Community Health majors; however, placement here is good for all disciplines. We also accept and train volunteers during the year. Volunteering is a project that can help develop leadership and organizational skills, and gives students the opportunity to learn to work in a team environment.
