What is the Pass/Fail Option?

Office of the Registrar Frequently Asked Questions

A student not on probation who has earned 28 or more credits may decide to take one pass/fail course per semester for a total of not more than six credits. Courses taken on a pass/fail basis may not be those, which constitute the student’s General Education Requirements, (except physical education requirements) or courses that fulfill major requirements. A student may exercise the pass/fail option any time during the first ten weeks of the semester and may elect to rescind the option up to the last day of classes (prior to finals). You may apply for a pass/fail option at the Office of the Registrar.
