Journalism Ethics and Legal Issues
JOUR387 (Liberal Arts) Journalism Ethics and Legal Issues 3 hrs. 3 crs. Introduction to fundamental issues, practices, and rules applied to Journalism ethics and legal questions. Students explore the ethical standards that journalists are expected to follow and grapple with the ethical dilemmas that arise on a regular basis. The class also examines legal protections and rights afforded journalists, the legal limitations placed on their activities, and legal considerations involved in pursuing a career in journalism.
