BUS311 (Not Liberal Arts) Human Resource Management 3 hrs. 3 crs. The objective of this course is to provide each student with an overview of human resource management as a profession and as a contributor to organizational objectives. The course will examine various principles and practices of human resource management and will allow students to develop competencies in areas of recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, legal and regularoty compliance, labor/management relations, benefits administration, health, safety and security, employee rights and discipline and strategic human resource management. Preq: BUS 301. This course may be offered as an online course.
