Anatomy and Physiology I
BIO234 (Liberal Arts) $ Anatomy and Physiology I 6 hrs. 4 crs. A study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include: basic anatomical terminology, general organization of the body, cells and tissues, integumentary system, skeletomuscular system, nervous and endocrine systems. Laboratory exercises will include dissection of a representative vertebrate as well as experiments illustrating physiological principles. Coreq: CHEM 105 or 101, BIO 234L Not credited toward fulfillment of Natural Science area requirements or Biology major requirements. 2 hours lecture, 1 hour recitation, 3 hours laboratory.
