Dr. Selena T. Rodgers is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at York College of The City University of New York, School of Health Sciences and Professional Programs in the Department of Social Work. Her research agenda has focused on areas including, posttraumatic growth and socio-cultural factors in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic groups, Black women discourse on issues of leadership, mentoring and trauma- and stressor exposures. She also has a passion for student mentoring and strengthening communities locally and internationally. Dr. Rodgers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with over 19 years of expertise in domestic and global social work administration, education, and practice is an internationally recognized social work scholar and educator. She has the honor of receiving the prestigious designation of Fulbright Specialists from the United States of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
