Dr. Claudette McFarquhar’s Biography: Dr McFarquhar is an expert nurse with a PhD in adult education – leadership. She has over 30 years experience as a Registered nurse, a nurse manager, and an educator – working in Obstetric, Neonatal, and Pediatric areas. Joining City University of New York (CUNY) since 1995, and the Faculty at York College in 2012, Dr McFarquhar has lectured extensively in Obstetric and Pediatric nursing. She has researched ‘NCLEX-RN test-taking – failure and success’, and believes that ‘knowledge that is not shared is wasted’. To that end, she specializes in mentoring students toward NCLEX-RN success. She has also established a website at http://yourhealthwise.com where she blogs on ‘women’s health Issues’. Dr McFarquhar is concerned about the impact of NCLEX-RN failure on the graduate nurse and on the ongoing shortage of nurses. Her goal is to establish “each one teach one mentoring program” among student nurses.
