Much of Dr. Berwid's past research has been focused both on the course of neurocognitive development from preschool through late adolescence/early adulthood, particularly of higher-order cognitive functions in those affected by Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and related conditions. More recently, Dr. Berwid's research is centered on examining the relationship between physical exercise and cognitive functioning, with an emphasis on examining the potential utility of exercise as a broad-based, non-pharmacological treatment for disorders of attention.
