The Department of Performing and Fine Arts Welcomes New Faculty and Staff

New PFA Faculty

Please join me in welcoming three new members to the Department of Performing and Fine Arts. With the start of the Fall 2013 academic year, Music will welcome aboard Dr. George Lam (Assistant Prof. of Music) who holds a Ph.D. in Music Composition from Duke University and has an extensive background in conducting and composition. Fine Arts will welcome back Dr. Margaret Vendryes (Distinguished Lecturer) who holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Princeton and has been a lecturer and curator at various institutions and museums since her departure from York in 2007. And Theatre Arts will officially welcome its Substitute CLT, Benjamin Mackrell to the position of full-time CLT.  These new additions to the PFA family will enable the Department and the disciplines to move forward as we start to rebuild our faculty lines and enhance our pedagogy and majors. I know that the dedication, talent and hard work of each new member will pay off in the semester to come and beyond.
