York College Freshmen Scholarship, Deadline March 27th
The Tuskegee Airmen Incorporated Scholarship Foundation and the Claude B. Govan Chapter are currently accepting scholarship applications for 2008. The Tuskegee Airmen Inc., is a unique organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of African-American World War II veterans who demonstrated that the criteria for responsible citizenship are character and achievement rather that ethnic origin.
The Tuskegee Airmen Inc Scholarship Foundation has set aside several
scholarships (average $1,000) for York College Freshmen ONLY. Deadline for applying is March 27th, 2008.
Criteria:
- Academic Achievement based on grades and/or Scholastic Achievement tests
- Extra Curricular/Community Activities
- Relative Financial Need
- Recommendations
- “Personal” and “The Tuskegee Airmen” Essays
Applications are now available in the Scholarship Center, room 1D10
(temporary location). Office Hours: Monday – Thursday 9am to 6pm and Friday 9am to 2pm.
