Fourth Annual Foundation Board Gala in the Performing Arts Center
On 4/11/11 York College hosted its Fourth Annual Foundation Board Gala in the Performing Arts Center, to a capacity crowd. The featured act, the musically versatile, 3 Mo’ Divas, filled the 1400-seat theatre with the joyful sounds of opera, blues, jazz, R&B and show tunes with aplomb.

The honorees, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, presented by Dr. Marcia V. Keizs, president of York College, and attorney/businessman, Vincent Albanese, an early York supporter, presented by Foundation Board Chairman, George P. Aridas, both reiterated the importance of York College to the Queens community.
David Ushery, host of The Debrief with David Ushery, on NBC 4, served as master of ceremonies; and the York College Big Band, under the direction of Professor Thomas Zlabinger, gave a spirited pre-concert performance outside of the PAC as the crowd gathered.
