Adjunct Health Insurance Extended to June 30, 2014
Adjunct health insurance through the PSC-CUNY Welfare Fund has been extended for a year and two months-through June 30, 2014. An agreement between the PSC and CUNY on the 14-month extension was reached today, and was supported by a vote by the Welfare Fund Board of Trustees.

York's Men's Volleyball Earns Spot into ECAC Tournament
The York College men's volleyball team has secured a bid to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Division Championship. The Cardinals have earned the #3 seed and will battle Ramapo College in the semifinal round on Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. The one-day tournament will be hosted by Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland.
York Aviation Students in the News
York College Aviation students recently enjoyed a day of flight training in Connecticut flying out of Republic Airport on Long Island. Among those at Republic to cheer on the students were President Marcia V. Keizs, Provost Ivelaw L. Griffith, Dr. Alfred Ntoko, dean of the School of Business and Information Systems, and Professors Olajide Oladipo, Chun-Pin Hsu and Wayne Forester.

The Passing of Prof. Arthur Anderson
Arthur Anderson, former Professor of Fine Arts, passed away on March 11, from complications of Pneumonia after having been hospitalized because of a fall in his home.

Parking spaces behind the Performing Arts Center will be reserved for the York College Foundation's 6th Annual Scholarship Benefit, featuring nine-time Grammy Award winner and 2013's National Endowment of the Arts Jazz Master, Eddie Palmieri and the Eddie Palmieri salsa orchestra.
York Professor Gets Fulbright
For the second time in three years, a York faculty member has been granted a Fulbright award. Dr. Selena T. Rodgers, an assistant professor of Social Work in York’s School of Health and Behavioral Sciences, is the second professor to earn Fulbright designation in that school, following in the footsteps of Teacher Education professor, Dr. Linda Gerena, who was granted the Fulbright Fellowship in 2010.

Introducing Pathways
Starting in Fall 2013, York College of the City University of New York will offer a new General Education curriculum to all undergraduate students. This curriculum, called Pathways, establishes a new system of general education requirements and new transfer guidelines across the University, and by doing so reinforces CUNY’s educational excellence while easing student transfer between the CUNY colleges.
