IT Service Desk Support Areas

There are three main IT Service Desk support areas at York College. The YConnect Contact Center, YConnect Library Support and the Class Room Building Computer Labs all provide many student support services. The list below indicates locations and hours of operation.

YConnect Contact Center

The York CollegeYConnect Contact Center is the main Service Desk on campus. It is located on the 2nd Floor of the Academic Core building, in room 2E03D. This Service Desk includes all support personnel in the Service Delivery Unit. Walk-In services only available during peak registration periods.

  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM  Phone, Field and Telecom support services
  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full phone, field & telecom support services
  • Monday through Friday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Limited field, telecom and phone support services
  • Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM  Limited field, telecom and phone support services

YConnect Library Service Desk

The York College YConnect Library Service Desk is another technical support services area dedicated to student technology. It is located on the 3rd floor of the Academic Core building in room 3G01. This Service Desk includes dedicated technology personnel trained on supporting all student walk-in services.

If you have any technical support issues outside of our hours of operation your call to our contact center will provide some alternate options for getting your issue recorded. One of the options will be to use the YConnect Self Service Portal. If you are on campus use your YConnect icon or type YConnect on your browser. If off campus you can use your VPN account. YConnect is one of the options on your main menu. If you are not a member of the campus network you can go to the Contact York link at the bottom of any page on the York web site and fill out and submit a YConnect form which will be routed based on the category you select. If your request or inquiry is directed to the IT department, as soon as our first shift comes in, we will address all open requests or inquiries. If your submission goes to another department within the college they will do the same.
