Cardinal Print

Print Management for the Library and Labs which will extend the current features students have been accustomed to and provide improved administration and benefits.

The improved print management software is being branded Cardinal Print and all labs and the Library will be upgraded starting August 1, 2011.  The improved print management while having many of the same overall functions of the existing software will be easier to administer and will have many self service features like checking your own allocations of funds.

Additionally, there are features that will allow for flexibility in terms of where you output print jobs to so that students are not limited especially when printers malfunction.

This print management software is similar to the existing product only in it's core function which is printing but that is where the comparison ends. Other improved features include wireless printing from mobile devices and the ability to save documents for future printing at any print station on campus.

Authentication will only be done once you have logged into the computer you are using so you will not continue to keep getting a popup every time you need to print during your sessions.

Other features will be forth coming once we get everyone comfortable with these improvements. If you have printed before on campus there will not be much of a learning curve as the core functionality remain the same.
