Online/Hybrid Course Orientation:
- study skills required to be successful in an online or hybrid course;
- academic integrity;
- all topics listed in Blackboard/CUNY portal workshops;
- activate and use York Email.
Blackboard/CUNY Portal:
- register for a CUNY portal account and access Blackboard;
- Blackboard basic features such as updating email address, viewing and downloading course documents, viewing and submitting assignments, taking quizzes, posting and replying to messages on Discussion Board;
- how to submit a SafeAssignment if your course instructor requires;
- how to work with wiki if your course instructor requires –
- what is wiki
- how to create a wiki page and add text content
- how to add web links, images and Youtube videos to a wiki page
- how to create table of content for your wiki site
- how to use table to present data on a wiki page and to lay out content
- how to comment on a wiki page
- what is blog
- how to create a blog post and add text content
- how to add web links, images and Youtube videos to a blog post

WordPress Blog/ePortfolio:
- log in to WordPress;
- understand dashboard;
- change theme;
- set up privacy level for your site;
- create a blog post and add multimedia content;
- add tags;
- monitor comments;
- add, remove widgets;
- create pages.
York Email:
- activate your York email;
- read, send, reply, forward an email message;
- attach a file on your email;
- access SkyDrive, create folder, upload to and download files from your SkyDrive;
- use calendar.
York Network ID
- activate your York Network ID and sign on computers on campus using your Network ID;
- understand what you can do with your York Network ID;
- save, upload and download files to your York network drive;
- access library databases via VPN at home using your network ID;
- printing on campus using your network ID;
- access ePortfolio and the College website.
