In Jungian psychology, synchronicity is the term applied to a category of events which have at their foundation meaningful coincidences. The same week that President Bush signed the Iraq War Resolution into law, the first fan festival to celebrate the 1998 movie The Big Lebowski was held.  The lecture will explore the connection between the Iraq War, The Big Lebowski and the archetype which ties the whole thing together: the trickster.
