Presenter: Professor Deborah Majerovitz, Chair, Department of Behavioral Sciences and Professor of Psychology
The plight of family caregivers to aged and frail elders has become a favorite topic in the popular press as well as in social science research. This talk by Prof. Majerovitz will center around studies from family caregivers, and will address the range of ethnic and cultural values surrounding elder care in communities represented at York, as well as the conflict between traditional values and the changing realities of health care and modern society.
