The Theatre Discipline has made a firm commitment to offering productions that celebrate and showcase the talent of our students. “SLAPDASH” is a fast-paced, funny, audience-interactive, improv performance in the tradition of "Whose Line is It Anyway? Seven performers compete spontaneously, to act out hilarious unscripted scenes as they compete to out perform each other in the show where “everything's made up and the points don't matter.” The content can be a bit racy, so the production is for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.
“SlapDASH”, developed, designed and directed by Professor Timothy J. Amrhein, will feature the vivid lighting of guest designer, Daniel Winter and the zany music and sound effects of Musical Director, Professor Jonathan Quash. The set was built by York College students under the direction of CLT Garth Belcon and CLT, Jessica Morales, member of Actor’s Equity Association, rounds off the list as production/stage manager and choreographer.
The cast of “SlapDASH” features a troupe of seven talented students: Alex Constantinides, Freddy Gonzalez, Kevin Gomez, Lindsay Johnson, Jarrel Lynch, Sebrena Mason and Olubukola Ogunmola. Studernts Gurdip Kaur and Stephen Pink are also involved as Assistant Directors.
All performances will take place in the intimate, 156-seat York College Little Theatre in the Performing Arts Center (94-45 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11451).
