Before Tunisia and Egypt 2011, there was Peshawar 1930.

During the 1930s and 1940s, in what is now the war-torn border region of Pakistan and Afghanistan, Badshah Khan, Gandhi's Muslim ally, organized a 100,000 strong non-violent army, the "Servants of God". Their sacrifices were critical to India's successful struggle for independence.

After reading Eknath Easwaran's biography of Khan, Nonviolent Soldier of Islam, director Teri McLuhan spent 21 years making this inspiring feature documentary about Khan's life and influence.

Among those interviewed for the film are former Indian Prime Minister I.K. Gujral, former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, and Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The film is 92 minutes and McLuhan will be available for Q&A afterwards.
