<p><strong>Lance Paladino’s</strong> work as a visual artist explores energetic relationships between the physical body, the natural world, and the cosmos.&nbsp; Working in a multiplicity of media and techniques, he creates representational and abstract paintings, drawings, and collages.<br /><br />He received his BFA from Kent State University in 1991 and an MFA from School of Visual Arts in 1997.&nbsp; He also studied anatomical and life drawing at Spring Street Studio and The New York Academy of Art.&nbsp; While in Austria in 2002 he learned the mishe technique of egg tempera and oil painting as practiced by the artists of the Northern Renaissance.&nbsp; He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and is in a number of private collections.&nbsp; His commercial work includes illustration for museum diorama and poster design for the underground music scene.&nbsp; Work from an on-going series entitled Improved Postcards has been exhibited at Artists Space and ZieherSmith.<br /><br />He teaches at York College/CUNY in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.&nbsp; Lance Paladino currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.</p>
