The Provost Lecture Series begins this semester with a talk on Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Colonialism. Professors Hamid Bahri, Department of Foreign Languages, ESL and Humanities, Laura Fishman, Department of History and Philosophy, and Kelly Baker Josephs, Department of English, will examine the roles of language, religion and race in constructing relationships between colonizers and native peoples in North Africa, the Caribbean and the Americas.
