For the four incidents (the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the plane crash in Pennsylvania), collectively now referred to as 9/11, at 8:46 a.m., the moment of impact to the North Tower, a bell will toll four times over the intercom in the Academic Core Building. Faculty, staff and students across campus are encouraged to pause in a moment of silent reflection wherever they are at 8:46 a.m.

At the same time, Provost Griffith, accompanied by an Honor Guard of Public Safety Officers, will recite in the plaza as the flag is lowered to half staff, the names of family and friends of York College colleagues lost in this tragedy.
