The honors interdisciplinary approach -- of examining a single theme from multiple disciplinary perspectives -- will be described and illustrated.  Faculty in attendance will be encouraged to begin to develop ideas for their own interdisciplinary courses.  This interdisciplinary approach has the ability to powerfully energize both students and faculty.

Leading the workshop will be Dr Joan Digby, Professor of English at Long Island University, C. W. Post Campus.  Dr Digby is a certified trainer for the National Collegiate Honors Council.  She served as the president of the NCHC in 2000 and serves on the editorial board of Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council.

This workshop is open to all faculty – especially those who have not taught for the honors program before.  This workshop is open to only 18 faculty members.  Please contact Dr William Ashton by April 10 to reserve a space.
