Come, see, hear and feel, with Vissi as they present The Hoarde, a visceral story about love, betrayal, death, vengeance, and redemption. This is a marriage of dance and theater at its finest. Choreographer Courtney Ffrench returns to York College with his company of highly-skilled dancers for a performance featuring his signature style that blends Modern, West African, Caribbean, Jazz and Ballet.

After the original and wildly hilarious SlapDash, followed by Shakespeare’s brutally tragic Macbeth, York College Theatre continues its 2011-12 Season this winter with HeartBeat, a special original performance created entirely by the poems and music of 11 York students: Emmanuela Accimeus, Ludma Delva, Ariel Flores, Uchenna Ijeaku, Kyle Jackson, Darius Nazario, Ayush Prasad, Beonca Rosado, Ian Stephens, Phil Williams and Rick Furel.

Mother's love knows no boundaries... After a five-year self-imposed absence, Julio César, a young man with a buried secret, returns home after the death of his father. Over the course of two evenings, mother and son, two estranged generations of Dominicans living in a now gentrified upper west side, attempt to rekindle the love and appreciation for each other and their roots; but Julio César soon realizes he isn’t the only one with a secret. Unexpected revelations threaten to destroy an already thin bond between mother and child.
