<p>To be eligible for each academic year, a student must:</p>

<li>Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen</li>
<li>Be a Federal Pell Grant recipient</li>
<li>Be enrolled at least half-time in a degree program</li>
<li>Be a first or second-year undergraduate student or a student in a certificate program of at least one year in a degree program at a two-year or four-year degree-granting institution</li>
<li>Have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study(after January 1, 2006, if a first-year student, and after January 1, 2005, if a second-year student); Or</li>

<h2>Criteria</h2>

<li>Minimum GPA of 3.0</li>
<li>Must be enrolled, matriculated York College Student in order to recieve the award.</li>
<ol class="listTypeLowerAlpha">
<li>Full-time: registered for a minimun of 12 credits</li>
<li>Part-time: registered for 6 to 11 credits</li>
</ol>
<li>Transfer students must have completed at least 24 credits at York College</li>
<li>Must have been registered as a York College student for two semesters prior and/or including the semester in which the application is completed</li>
<li>Must complete a 500 word essay which should include the following</li>
<ol class="listTypeLowerAlpha">
<li>If you were in Student Government, what would be your number one priority in response to student needs/interest</li>
<li>What could Student Government have done this year to enhance the quality of your experience as a York College student?</li>

<p>To qualify, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Latina students currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate freshman in a 4-year CUNY Senior College</li>
<li>Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.</li>
<li>Required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the 4-year program</li>
<li>Required to submit official transcript twice each year</li>
<li>Commitment to participate in two annual workshops and a conference</li>
</ul>

    <content:encoded xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"><![CDATA[<p>This competition is open to all students and the main objective of the Entrepreneurial Concept Competition(ECC) is to encourage students to develop their entrepreneurial ideas, enhance understanding of requirements for a successful business venture, and showcase the creativity of students at the City University of New York(CUNY)</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>All team members must be current CUNY students(Undergraduate &amp; Graduate)</li>
<li>Must provide unofficial current CUNY transcript via email, fax or mail/drop off:</li>

<li>Must register for the competition on ProjectSTEM at <a class="external-link" href="http://projectstem.net/">http://ProjectsSTEM.net</a> during registration periods (Monday, April 23rd - Monday, September 17th)</li>
<li>Must upload a 60 second Youtube Video and a 250-word minimum abstract about your idea/concept at http://ProjectSTEM.net by Monday, September 17th, 2012 before 11:59pm(registration end date)</li>
<li>Ideas/concepts may be completely original or unique improvements on already existing ideas/concepts.</li>
<li>Ideas/concepts may be for-profit or non-profit.</li>
</ol>
<p>Please note: Teams may be dropped in the earlier phase of the competition based on the submitted abstract. Your idea/concept should be both marketable and feasable.</p>

<p>The $2000 "No Essay" Scholarship is open to all students and those planning on enrolling within 12 months. The monthly winner will be determined by random drawing and then contacted directly and announced on our Facebook page. One entry per person, but you can come back each month to try again.</p>

<p>High schoolers, adults looking to go back to school and current college students.</p>
