The Program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to American life and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family.

The online application for the class of 2012 fellowship competition is available. The deadline for that competition is November 1, 2011.

JFK Air Cargo Association Scholarship Deadline

In order for students to be eligible, they must: Have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) at the time of the scholarship award. Be classified a Junior with at least 61 credits or Senior, with at least 94 credits. Be pursuing a BS in Aviation Management. Submit a complete written application, to be found on the York College website, including one letter of recommendation from the student’s professor.

TMCF and WNBA Scholarship deadline

The NBA will host the award winners (and one guest per winner) at the Inspiring Women Luncheon at the end of May 2011 in New York City.

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
Must apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Demonstrate leadership qualities and service experience
Be at least 21 years of age by the close of the application.
Be an African-American Female
Plan to enroll as a full time undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program at a U.S. accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam in the upcoming academic year.
Have residency in Connecticut, New Jersey or New York

TMCF and Wells Fargo Financial Deadline

This scholarship is eligible for annual renewal provided the scholars meet the GPA requirement and continue to demonstrate unmet financial need.

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the duration of the scholarship
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
Must apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Demonstrate leadership qualities and service experience

Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship

This a one-time award for lesbian-identified students from all backgrounds, from high school seniors and first-year undergraduates to graduate and postgraduate students. Three $3000 scholarships will be awarded in June 2011.

NY League of Puerto Rican Women, Inc. 2011 College Awards Deadline

To be eligible for our College Awards, applicants must send a completed 2011 College Award Application Form or mail to Edith Padilla, President, NYLPRW, INC. P.O. Box 268, Patchogue, N.Y. 11772-0268 by the deadline date of June 4, 2011, and meet all of the following criteria:

Comply with all of the six (6) requirements below.

Currently matriculated as an undergraduate student in an accredited institution of higher education, having earned a minimum of 12 accumulated credits.
Maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 with no failing grades.
Demonstrate service to the community.
Provide an official college transcript.
Provide two letters of recommendation from a professor, college
Submit a 4″ by 6″ color photo of the applicant in appropriate attire, for inclusion in our Commemorative Dinner Dance Journal.

The College Award Committee will review only those applications. The essays of the selected applicants will be included in our commemorative Dinner-Dance Journal and should be written meticulously.
