From his roots in Latin and salsa, jazz, and fusion to rock, RnB, funk, soul and global styles – his music continues to evolve in originality. As a virtuoso, Mr. Blake has maximized the limits of the instrument through his diverse techniques - from classical fingering and guitar-like strumming to resounding slapping and vibrant staccatos, producing a full range of harmonies and rhythms on the bass in any composition. He has recorded with musical legends of the past and today, appeared at major festivals, concerts, and high-profile events throughout the world, and continues his lectures and teaching at clinics and forums.
