Engaging Students in Classroom Discussion
It is easy to say "get students to participate in classroom discussion." But how does one do that when they offer excuses such as "I have not done the reading"? This panel will offer suggestions based on experiences of teaching across the curriculum in order to give a running start to a discussion among those in attendance. Facilitated by Professors Howard Ruttenberg, History and Philosophy, Mitchell Brodsky, Health and Physical Education, Matthew Corcoran, English, and Ryan Ruby, Philosophy Adjunct Lecturer. Sponsored by The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
