When the college is closed, access to the Academic Core may be obtained through the loading dock entrance. Access is limited to faculty members, administrators and staff members who have written authorization from their department head. The procedure to enter the campus when the college is closed is as follows:

• Proceed to the Loading Dock entrance gate.
• Present your ID to the Security Guard or Public Safety Officer.
• Upon entering the building either go to the Public Safety Office (Room 1M02) to sign or call the Public Safety Office once you have arrived at your office.
• When leaving the campus sign out or call Public Safety prior to departing.

These procedures serve to alert the Public Safety staff of your presence on campus and are intended for your safety.

When the college is open for regular business hours, but classes are not in session, the South Parking Lot will be closed and the college access gates will close at approximately 8 pm.

Adjustments to this schedule will be made on a case by case basis in order to accommodate classes or special events that start or finish at times that are not posted on this schedule. Please notify the Public Safety Director at tforte@york.cuny.edu if adjustments are requested.
