Students are to be mindful that the processing time for loan applications are approximately 2 weeks. Submission of original application should be done in CUNYfirst. Priority deadlines for October 15 the Fall semester, and March 15 for the Spring semester.

An APTS award counts as half a TAP award towards your eight semester (ten for SEEK students) maximum and funds for this program are extremely limited. Awards are based on 2012 net income. Per credit amounts for City University are based on available funding. The current maximum award is $65 per credit for Fall 13’ and $40 for Spring 14’.

If you or your family have unusual expenses that are not reflected on your FAFSA, please complete this worksheet by checking the appropriate reason (or reasons) and provide the documentation specified below (or required by a Financial Aid Counselor). To be considered for an expense adjustment, you must submit this worksheet and all required documentation to the Financial Aid Office.

Students who do not meet Satisfactory Academic progress (SAP) standards may not be eligible to receive financial aid. In order to be considered for full financial aid eligibility, a student must submit a petition in writing no later than the date specified as the deadline for the semester for which financial aid is being requested.
Satisfactory Academic Progress Form & Deadlines -
Due to changes in rules and regulations, the Financial Aid Office will no longer accept IRS Tax Returns. If you, your spouse (if married) or your parents (if dependent) need to document your taxable income to fulfill verification requirements, you can request an IRS Tax Return Transcript free of charge.

Students are required to complete this worksheet if they had a conviction for possessing or selling illegal drugs or if you left question 23 blank on your FAFSA Application.
