Minimum requirements and application components

  1. Completion of initial Teacher Education courses, or their equivalent- EDUC 280, EDUC 281, EDUC 283, AC 230, PHIL/SOC 202 (before commencing the program)
  2. Overall GPA of 2.75
  3. GPA of 3.00 in major courses
  4. GPA of 3.00 in Teacher Education courses
  5. Essay connecting desire to teach and major subject
  6. Two letters of recommendation- one from a mathematics or science professor and one from someone who can address potential for teaching
  7. Demonstration of financial need
  8. Interview with the Project Directors
  9. US citizenship or residency per National Science Foundation regulationsmicroscope
