Cultural Diversity Lecturer co-edits new book

Andrew P. Jackson has co-edited, "The 21st Century Black Librarian in America: Issues and Challenges," Scarecrow Press, 2012. Other co-editors are Julius C. Jefferson, Jr. and Akilah S. Nosakhere.

This e-book is a tribute to activist librarian, founder of the Black Caucus of the ALA and past president of ALA, Dr. E.J. Josey (1924-2009). The book is a collection of fifty essays that cover such topics as problems facing school libraries, advances in information technology, special libraries, racism in the history of library and information science, and the need for continued activism.
