The “Italian Studies Program” is very pleased to present a lecture on ITALY AND JUDAISM hosted by Professor Vincenzo Selleri of the Foreign Languages Department. After a brief introduction on the history of Judaism in Southern Italy, the lecture will focus on post-war years highlighting the role played by the Italian Refugee Camps in the reconstruction of the Jewish identity. An excerpt of the documentary A Gate to Israel (by V. Selleri and G. Giannoccaro) will follow the lecture.
