Overview
- A head start in the field of Aviation
- A 3-term program starting in the upper Junior year
- All classes taken on the York College campus
- Ten Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm each term
- Optional summer classes (4 college credits)
- Free books, materials and simulator time
- Ground instruction by FAA licensed instructors
Proposed College Credit Courses
- Introduction to Aviation (1 credit) (Spring 2008)
- Psychology 102 (3 credits) (Summer Optional)
- Political Science 103 (3 credits) (Fall 2008)
- Aviation Business Management (3 credits) (Spring 2008)
Requirements
- Must be an upper Junior
- Have at least an 80% overall average
- Have at least an 80% average in Math classes
- Have at least a 75 on the Math Regents or SAT’s of 500 or more
- Interested in the field of Aviation/Aerospace
- (as Pilot, Air Traffic Controller, Manager, Engineer, or other professional positions)
