Strengthening Academic Support
Aiming to significantly expand and fortify academic support services in order to meet the needs of York’s students, the College will hire a Coordinator of Evening and Weekend Support and an Assistant Director to staff the Academic Achievement Center.
Implementing Outcomes Assessment
To support the implementation of learning outcomes assessment on a college-wide scale, the College is reorganizing the Office of Institutional Research to incorporate the function of Research, Planning, and Assessment.
Expanding communication
To effectively communicate the various activities aimed at expanding the academic capacities through the Title III Grant, the College has embarked on an extensive public relations campaign.
Developing Instructional and Academic Quality
To strengthen curriculum and instruction on a college-wide scale, a Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) was established in 2007 to implement extensive faculty development coupled with a mini-grant program that focuses on engaging students in their learning.
