- Behavioral Sciences
The mission of our department is to provide students with a strong academic foundation that will prepare them for the challenges of graduate study and careers. We strive to offer a flexible curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse student body and to foster personal and professional growth. Both disciplines combine academic excellence with a strong focus on community service. Students have the opportunity for community-based internships as well as independent research and study with individual faculty members.
The study of Biology provides academic experiences in the life sciences that meet a variety of student needs. The Biotechnology Program is an interdisciplinary major designed to provide academic, laboratory and research experiences to students with career interests in the biomedical sciences.

Chemistry (from Egyptian kēme (chem), meaning "earth") is the science concerned with the reactions, transformations and aggregations of matter, as well as accompanying energy and entropy changes during such transformations.

The Department of Earth and Physical Sciences meets a wide range of scientific interests. It consists of the Geology, Physics, and Environmental Health Science disciplines.
