The York College/CUNY community is in mourning following the death of its former president, Mr. Milton G. Bassin, who died on August 13, 2012. The president emeritus had been in failing health in recent years but still had a great love for the college to which he was devoted.

Kirk Haltaufderhyde, ’11, the York graduate featured in the ad, was a mentee of Biology professor, Gerald McNeil. Kirk was recruited to Brown University by Dr. Andrew Campbell (York, ’81) a professor of Medical Science at the Rhode Island-based Ivy League.
