York College Opens State of the Art Nursing Simulation Labs
York College/CUNY recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its brand new state-of-the-art nursing laboratories. The event is especially momentous as York College is the only senior college in the borough of Queens offering a baccalaureate degree in nursing.

York Alum Completes PhD at Yale
Vanessa Crevecoeur-Ducas '07, has completed a doctorate degree six years after graduating from York College/CUNY with her undergraduate degree in Chemistry. She was the first York student to win the UNCF-Merck Award. Fittingly, it was her York mentor, Chemistry professor, Dr. Ruel Desamero, who shared her graduation news with the college community.

York Fetes Former President Bassin at 45th Anniversary
It was an event 45 years in the making and worth every year of the wait. York College used the occasion of its 45th birthday to honor its longest serving president, Dr. Milton Bassin, who retired 20 years ago after 20 years of service to the college.
