After the original and wildly hilarious SlapDash, followed by Shakespeare’s brutally tragic Macbeth, York College Theatre continues its 2011-12 Season this winter with HeartBeat, a special original performance created entirely by the poems and music of 11 York students: Emmanuela Accimeus, Ludma Delva, Ariel Flores, Uchenna Ijeaku, Kyle Jackson, Darius Nazario, Ayush Prasad, Beonca Rosado, Ian Stephens, Phil Williams and Rick Furel.

Final Performances (english) of "La Luz De Un Cigarrillo" by Marco Antonio Rodriguez
Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, our Thursday, Nov. 1 performances of “La Luz De Un Cigarrillo” (at 12noon in English and at 7pm in Spanish) have been canceled. We have rescheduled our final two performances as follows: Nov. 06 at 12noon (in English) and our final performance will be held on Nov. 08 at 12noon (in Spanish). All Tuesday, Oct. 30th tickets which have already been purchased will be honored at the 12noon performance on Nov. 06.

Mother's love knows no boundaries... After a five-year self-imposed absence, Julio César, a young man with a buried secret, returns home after the death of his father. Over the course of two evenings, mother and son, two estranged generations of Dominicans living in a now gentrified upper west side, attempt to rekindle the love and appreciation for each other and their roots; but Julio César soon realizes he isn’t the only one with a secret. Unexpected revelations threaten to destroy an already thin bond between mother and child.
