- Leadership Changes in Academic Affairs at York College
As you are aware, Dr. Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith assumed the presidency of Fort Valley State University in Georgia effective July 22, 2013 thus requiring new leadership in Academic Affairs at York College.
- York Alum Awarded $90,000 Soros Fellowship
Robert Fernandez, a member of York College's Class of 2013 is among the 2014 Soros Fellowship for New Americans recipients. Fernandez, a York College Biology alumnus, will receive $90,000 in Tuition Support and Assistance. He is the sole CUNY graduate among the more than 30 graduate students from a cross-section of Ivy League institutions.

Octavio is a pianist and arranger who studied classical piano in his home town Rosario, Argentina.
- York/CUNY and University of Bridgeport Sign Agreement
It was an idea whose time had come, as York College hosted the University of Bridgeport (UB), Connecticut, for the signing of an articulation agreement between the two institutions of higher learning, making them partners in health education.
- Introducing Course Fees
Starting Fall 2012, some courses will be charging fees to cover materials, services or transportation related to the courses. Following the model already used by other CUNY colleges, York recently implemented these course fees to defray costs previously covered by the College.
- York College Cricket Club Wins National Championship
The Cricket Club at York College has won the 2012 American College Cricket Championship. York defeated the University of South Florida in the finals on March 18 to win its first-ever national title.
- Spring 2010 Tours
York College Walking Tour(s).
Walking tours are led by student ambassadors and covers York's main campus facilities. While on the campus tour, student ambassadors provide general information about York College and its programs.
York College is literally ready for business -- as an Empire State Development START-UP NY site, which enables new or existing companies to apply to New York State to participate in START-UP NY. If accepted, they can then apply to York College to participate in the College’s Campus Plan. Attached are the York College campus plan and priority areas for potential business partnerships.
